Rapid Mobility is a student-led mobility research and planning organization focused on designing accessible, affordable, and integrated transport systems. Through research, and design, we explore how mobility can better serve people, communities, and cities.
Rapid exists to challenge how transport is planned today and to demonstrate what people-first mobility can look like when built with care, clarity, and long-term thinking.
Designed to last by grounding every decision in research, long-term planning, and systems thinking, ensuring mobility solutions remain resilient, adaptable, and relevant over time while remaining human-centered.
People rely on transit to access work, education, essential services, and social connection. Mobility is a fundamental right that enables participation in society, supports freedom of movement, and sustains cultural and economic life.
Across many cities, transit has become increasingly expensive, fragmented, and difficult to navigate. Systems are often built to respond to short-term demand rather than long-term ridership, leaving many people underserved.
Rapid was created to rethink this approach. We believe mobility is a public good and that access to reliable transport should not depend on income, ability, or circumstance. Our work focuses on building for ridership, prioritizing accessibility, and designing systems that people can trust and understand.
